ALEXIS IVAR NICHOLAS HALLER

 Alexis Haller is a trial and appellate attorney with over thirteen years of FSIA litigation experience. Mr. Haller has achieved dismissals in numerous FSIA actions, and has successfully represented a foreign head of state and foreign diplomatic agents.

 Mr. Haller graduated from Princeton University summa cum laude in 1995 and obtained his juris doctor degree from Stanford Law School in 1998. He is a member of the bars of the District of Columbia and California, and is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and various United States courts of appeals.

 In a career spanning over a decade, Alexis Haller has successfully litigated challenges to criminal indictments, motions to suppress evidence under the Fourth Amendment of the United States Constitution, and numerous matters related to international law. Alexis Haller currently serves as the principal of a private practice in Aptos, California, focusing on civil litigation, international law and appellate litigation.

 Mr. Haller pursued his undergraduate education at Princeton University, where he participated in the Phi Beta Kappa Society, served as the president of the American Whig-Cliosophic Society, and earned a bachelor of arts in history. In 1998, he received his juris doctor from Stanford Law School and subsequently joined boutique San Francisco law firm Swanson, McNamara & Haller LLP. He left the firm in 2009, when he established his own practice.

 Alexis Haller received his bachelor’s degree in history from Princeton University in 1995, where he graduated summa cum laude (highest honors). Mr. Haller received his juris doctor degree from Stanford Law School in 1998.

During his ten years at the firm, Mr. Haller won several major foreign sovereign immunity appeals, protected the Fifth Amendment rights of foreign citizens under the Hague Evidence Convention and mutual legal assistance treaties, obtained dismissals of civil and criminal pleadings in fraud cases, and successfully challenged key evidence in criminal cases. Alexis Haller is a member of the bars of California, Washington, and the District of Columbia.
